This is an opportunity for an Umbilical Engineer to support worldwide offshore deep water projects from concept to execution.
The Umbilical Engineer will work within our client's project engineering group and will support all the engineering activities related to umbilical activities across different phases of the project, from feasibility to FEED, detailed engineering and execution. Candidates should have experience as a Senior Umbilical Engineer with a strong working knowledge of dynamic umbilical analysis software such as Orcaflex.
Responsibilities of the Umbilical Engineer will include but not limited to:

• Prepare and complete large EPCI contracts for offshore projects for umbilical systems throughout all project phases including conceptual study, FEED, tender and contract preparation.
• Prepare all technical documentation related to Umbilical's.
• Review and follow up tenders including qualifications, clarifications and recommendations etc
• Ensure that the design of umbilical systems meet project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices.
• Review and approve FEED, tender and detailed engineering performed by contractors.
• Act as company representative for all the activities related to Umbilical systems fabrication and testing activities.
• Act as company representative during offshore Umbilical installation onboard installation vessel.

Candidates should be degree qualified with demonstrable experience in the technical design of umbilical systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design with knowledge of the main topsides, subsea and installation interfaces. You must be able to support projects with onshore and offshore testing including FAT, SIT and pre-commissioning, installation and commissioning activities.

This role is Inside IR35. Candidates can operate on a PAYE or Umbrella basis.
